Theburstingbookshelf’s favorite book is…

She started blogging back in 2010. Over the years, Anna’s goals have remained unchanged: sharing her passion for literature through reviews and interviews with authors or publishers. Currently reading The Midnight Library, this week’s bookworm is particularly fond of love stories and has browsed through the pages of 123 books in 2020. Let’s fly to Seattle and find out more!

What is your favorite book?

Probably The Martian by Andy Weir – it is epic and so fun to reread. I even named my dog after the main character.

When did you read it ?

I first read it in 2014.

Why is this book so important to you?

This book was a break from my demanding schooling – it also was incredibly well researched and really spoke to my interest in space travel.

How many times have you read the book ?

I have read this book 11 times now

Did you lend it to anyone?

Yes! I have lent it to friends and family and gave some members of my family their own copies.

How would you define it?

I would say it is a realistic sci-fi book with a ton of action and adventure. It is also a survival book.

What questions would you like to ask the author?

I would love to ask him about how he did his research – it was so extensive!

And its publisher ?

I would love to ask his publisher how they discover amazing independently published books like this one.

What is your favorite bookstore?

My favorite bookstore right now is Third Place Books in Seattle.
